Help Feed Colorado's Dogs

The Colorado Pet Pantry is important to me because I care so much about animals and I hate to see them not being well fed or kept healthy.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I wanted to support the Colorado Pet Pantry, an organization that temporarily feeds Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for pets with the goal of keeping them out of shelters and with their families.

I remember being 7 or even younger and my family and I were driving to our house in Boulder. There was a homeless lady begging for money with a dog right by her which was starving and looked not healthy. I broke out in tears and could not get it together. That’s when I knew that if I had a chance to help the world, this would be my first step.

I used my campaign page on The Philanthropy Project to sell dog scarves, as well as tickets to professional mini photo shoot sessions of owners and their pets. Through my campaign, I was able to donate more than $1,100 to the Colorado Pet Pantry!
I hope that the contribution I make to The Colorado Pet Pantry makes a difference in these animals lives. In five years when I look back on this experience, I will remember that I was almost 13 and I did such a great thing!
