About Our Philanthropy:
How Are Sea Turtles Endangered? Sea turtles have been around for 100 million years but are now endangered because of humans. Turtles have been poached for their eggs, shells, meat and skins. Their eggs, shells and skins sell for lots of money in some markets. Turtles are dying because…..
- Climate change has affected their nesting
- Nets have been accidentally trapping the turtles fins making them drown.
- Their habitat is being destroyed by humans and machines
These 3 main reasons are why the turtles are becoming endangered.
Why Do We Need Them? Turtles are important for many reasons. They maintain the food chain having a variety of prey. They also eat the grass or coral beds maintaining the growth. They are also a old surviving species that can tell us lots about back than. Also if turtles go instinct then we could never bring them back and the future people will never know how they actually acted.
Why Did I Choose Turtles? I have always had a passion for animals with their amazing skills and instincts. I have chosen turtles because I feel that there should be a raise of awareness about that turtles are endangered and they need your help. It also has another connection to a global problem, climate change. I have picked the World Wild Life fund because they try to decrease the climate change to connect with turtles.(nesting periods) My goal is to raise the awareness that turtles really need your help and that you should’t just let it go.
